About me

With over 25 years experience working in the psychotherapy and wellness field, I have found that talking and developing insight into ourselves alone is rarely enough to create the deep changes many of us are really seeking.

My work has spanned family and gender based violence and abuse, cancer and chronic illness, loss and bereavement, complex trauma and military WIS. As a result, I have been motivated to train extensively in trauma and nervous system-based healing methods including Deep Brain Reorienting and EMDR to help my clients achieve the deep healing they are seeking. I am influenced too by creative methods, the natural world, our interconnection and the joys and challenges gifted though my own history and am indebted to my clients for what they have taught me.

Working together, we can guide you towards your innate state of being – one where you can feel a sense of inner calm and peace – so you can reconnect with the joy, wisdom, and vitality that can flourish and set you free.

Healing and Wholeness

Despite what we may have experienced or been through in life, we each have the potential to flourish and grow, to heal our wounds so that we may learn to connect and relate to ourselves and others with greater acceptance, compassion and harmony.

Making sense of our experiences can be challenging to understand, and we may come to believe that our way of being is simply who we are’, rather than how we may have learned to adapt to what may have happened to us.

Reclaiming and re-membering who we truly are and thus harnessing our true potential enables us to meet ourselves, others and the world in a more fulfilling way. This process can be gradual, and at times challenging, though offers the prospect of deep reward. Engagement in therapy involves a willingness to reflect upon both present and past experience, and to be open to increasing awareness of our true self; an awareness not limited to intellect alone but to a deeper embodied quality of being. Neuroscience reveals the undeniable connection between mind and body, to attain a sense of wholeness, we need to attend to both.
