Therapies

Reclaiming who we truly are and opening to our true potential supports the deepening of connection to ourselves, others and the world. The therapy process is rarely linear, it can sometimes be painful and challenging, though offers the prospect of transformational changes and profound rewards.
Making sense of our experiences can be challenging, and we may have come to believe that our ‘way of being' is simply ‘who we are', rather than how we may have learned to adapt to the conditions and the happenings of the environment and relationships within which we were raised.
5Are you ready to align with your ‘self' beyond your wounding?
5Are you looking for change beyond mere awareness and understanding?
5Are you seeking a deeper embodied quality of being?
Deep Brain
Reorienting
is a cutting-edge neuro-scientifically based trauma therapy developed by Dr Frank Corrigan. DBR effectively promotes deep and often profound healing from the shock, painful emotions and symptoms consequent from trauma and attachment wounding.

Given the right conditions, our innate capacity for healing can unfold, naturally moving us toward health and wholeness. Symptoms, obstacles and limiting ways of ‘being’ which we may have experienced for many decades can be released. As deep transformational shifts organically emerge, our true nature awakens, allowing us to experience more ease, spaciousness and depth in our connections to self and others.

Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR therapy heals the symptoms and emotional distress resulting from disturbing and traumatic life experiences. When we have endured difficult life events, the system can become blocked by the impact of the event.

The emotional wound festers resulting in intense emotional, psychological and even physical suffering which we then often manage by other strategies to cope which may in themselves become problematic, such as addictions. EMDR can effectively resolve these issues allowing you to live more fully.

Trauma Psychotherapy
Many psychotherapy approaches are now referred to as 'trauma therapies'. In part owing to the much greater appreciation of the symptoms and challenges that many face have their roots in what has 'happened to us' rather than 'who we are'. Throughout my career I have been in pursuit of supporting transformational healing, and have subsequently trained and explored a number of therapeutic approaches.

Many of the approaches that I have trained in, have become a little redundant.  Mainly because I have focused on the approaches (Deep Brain Reorienting, EMDR and Integral Somatic Psychology) that in my experience have brought about the most change for those with whom I have worked.

I have worked too with Sandtray therapy, but as my work has become mostly remote, there is less opportunity to draw upon this wonderful way of working.

Other trainings have included Brainspotting, Flash Technique, Comprehensive Resource Model, Energy Psychotherapies.

Integral Somatic Psychology
Integral Somatic Psychology (ISP) is a therapeutic approach developed by Raja Selvam, PhD, and integrates body-based practices, and teachings from Eastern phenomenologists that have been corroborated by modern neuroscientists and quantum physicists, into traditional psychological work.

At its core, ISP emphasizes that psychological experiences—such as emotions, trauma, and stress—are not just mental but also embodied. Unprocessed experiences often manifest as physical tension, numbness, or dysregulation in the nervous system. By helping clients become more aware of and regulate bodily sensations, ISP supports deeper emotional processing and healing.

I am a certified practitioner of ISP.
