Engaging in consultation and supervision is essentially an act of self-care. However, we are not only doing this for ourselves - but as an act of good stewardship for those with whom we work.
I feel very fortunate to have been mentored by founder and developer of DBR, Dr Frank Corrigan for many years, and also by his close colleague and developer of the DBR Core Developmental Training, Dr Jessica Christie Sands. In my becoming a DBR Trainer, I have been presenting on core DBR trainings alongside Jess, both in person and remotely across the globe.
As an ‘educator’, I enjoy nurturing others’ learning. I welcome working with both beginners and experienced practitioners of DBR. Having training and experience in a number of therapy approaches, I am keen to support those newly trained to integrate DBR into existing practice. As an embodied practice, DBR can take time to integrate and to grow confidence in. My aim is to create supportive and collaborative learning environment in which your understanding, knowledge and confidence and can grow.

My commitment to EMDR lead me to support the EMDR-UK Association Board. I served as Assistant Secretary and have been a member of the Conference Committee. Additionally I was responsible for arranging the Association webinars for many years too.
Continued professional learning and support is vital for our growth as practitioners. My training in a number of therapy approaches makes me well placed to support those newly trained in integrating EMDR into existing practice.
Whether you prefer to employ EMDR as an adjunct therapy or as a comprehensive psychotherapy, supervision can support you to explore what best works for you and your clients.
